As a new member of Local 983, you need to fill out your welcome package forms and submit them to the Union. In order to make sure you obtain all the benefits to which you are entitled, it's important to fill out each form completely and accurately. To make this easier, you can fill out the forms online. All of your information is transmitted securely and safely.
Be sure to sign and date each form where indicated, attach all required documentation, and when complete, click on "FINISH" on the last page. Again, all your information is encrypted and highly protected. If you have any questions about the process, you can contact the Union>>.

As a new member of Local 983, you will need to sign an enrollment form to officially join the Union. Local 983 is a DC 37 affiliate.

All new members must complete a DC 37 Health & Security Plan Enrollment Form AND attach the appropriate documentation (marriage certificate, domestic partnership papers, birth certificates) if enrolling any dependents.
One of the benefits you are entitled to as a Local 983 member is a $10,000 death benefit from DC 37. The DC 37 benefit is automatic upon a member's passing. However, you must have a valid Beneficiary Card on file with the Union.
