We need you to join us at City Hall on Friday, March 13 at 9 a.m. to demand more funding for city parks! Tell City Hall to give NYC Parks a bigger piece of the pie.
DC 37 is partnering with Council Member Peter Koo, Chair of the Parks Committee, the New York League of Conservation Voters and more than 215 other organizations in the PLAY FAIR COALITION.
City parks and gardens are our backyard and are essential infrastructure for healthy neighborhoods. Your support shows City Hall that our parks deserve more funding for maintenance and operations. PLAY FAIR for PARKS!
Last year we secured $44 million for NYC Parks but that’s still less than 1 percent of the city’s budget. We need more funding to take care of our beloved parks, gardens, forests, and open spaces. We must keep the pressure on so Join us at City Hall to say PLAY FAIR for PARKS!
Together we will tell the Mayor and the City Council to PLAY FAIR for PARKS and direct much-needed funding for NYC Parks jobs, maintenance and operations.
Please arrive by 8:30 a.m. on March 13 to clear security at City Hall.
At 9 a.m., our rally on the steps of City Hall begins.
At 10 a.m., there will be testimony before the Parks Committee. Let’s pack the room with the Play Fair Coalition!
At 12 p.m., is your chance to testify to the Parks Committee to tell the city to Play Fair for Parks!
