Tweet at elected leaders today for parks! Budget negotiations are this week

We’re taking to Twitter today to highlight parks conditions to our local City Council members!

Did you take photos this weekend of difficult conditions in your local open spaces (crowded, trash, etc.)?

Post them on Twitter and tag @NYCMayor, @NYCSpeakerCoJo, and your local Council Member. Here are their Twitter handles<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hv552i16cgoo6yTGgZrTxOMIrjTbt8aKlY5MpDBaYiA/edit?usp=sharing>! Below are some draft tweets.

We’ll see you online! Let’s kick the week off with parks top of mind for our elected leaders.

Draft tweets:

Parks had one of their dirtiest years in recorded history in 2020. And it looks like that record is continuing into 2021. Send a message to @NYCMayor, @NYCSpeakerCoJo, @(yourlocalCM) telling them to #RestoreParksFunds bit.ly/saveourparks2021<http://bit.ly/saveourparks2021>

Parks are one of our most valuable environmental and public health assets. But (local park) is in as worse condition as ever, @(yourlocalCM). Check out this photo! We're calling on @NYCMayor and @NYCSpeakerCoJo to #PlayFairNow: bit.ly/saveourparks2021<http://bit.ly/saveourparks2021>

(local park) is suffering! That's why we need to fully fund the Parks Equity Initiative which supports 600+ groups like ours that keep our parks clean and beautiful! Tell @NYCMayor, @NYCSpeakerCoJo, and @(yourlocalCM) to #RestoreParksFunds! Join us: bit.ly/saveourparks2021<http://bit.ly/saveourparks2021>
