FEB. 20, 21, 28: DC 37’s annual Black History Month celebration continues with union-sponsored events throughout February to commemorate the African American legacy of struggle and advancement that has helped shaped our country and the labor movement.

All events listed below start at 6 pm at 125 Barclay Street in lower Manhattan.

The union’s Black History Committee is co-chaired by Nina Manning, vice president of Local 1930, and Local 372’s La'Nette Murphy.  



FEB. 29 : Thinking of going back to school to gain skills or get your college degree? MAR. 12, APR. 7 The DC 37 Political Action Committee will meet Thursday March 12 and Tuesday April 7 (in observance of Passover) at 125 Barclay Street in Lower Manhattan. Join PAC Chair Donald Nesbit, vice president of Local 372, for a lively discussion on the issues and legislation that affect union members and retirees. Please bring your DC 37 membership ID card. MARCH 13 WOMEN’S FORUM: The DC 37 Women’s Committee will hold a lively forum to discuss important gender and equality issues at the union’s annual Women’s History Month event with Committee Chair and Local 420 President Carmen Charles and Co-chair Lelani Levin of Local 371 at 125 Barclay Street in Lower Manhattan, Friday March 13 at 6 pm.  



MAR. 30 The DC 37 Health & Security Plan’s MELS will offer a two-session workshop on how to manage and resolve interpersonal conflict on two Mondays, March 30 and April 6, at 55 Water Street, 23 floor, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.
